An Announcement With More Fan-Fiction

After some delay and hesitation, I’ve just launched my Substack page: Noble Cobra Magazine.

Copied from the introductory post:

Welcome to the start of Noble Cobra magazine, a periodic journal of original fiction and commentary from the potentially-famous Noble Cobra Publishing. My goal is to put out regular helpings of original short fiction (and sometimes fan-fiction), interspersed with a newsletter highlighting interesting or worthwhile features of existing works. Both fiction and commentary are grounded in a Roman Catholic, traditionalist point of view, and I especially hope to highlight places where these truths shine through from unexpected places.

Who am I? My name is David Breitenbeck, and I am a writer, author, and your friendly neighbourhood Loyalist. I currently have five original books and one re-published classic under my belt, as well as multiple short stories. This magazine is largely an effort to get more of my work out there for people to read.

What is a Noble Cobra? Elegance, virtue, and tradition coming from an unexpected and rather striking quarter. Which, really, seems about the only sort of place one can expect them these days.

New content shall be posted on a regular basis. I hope you find something to edify, or at least to enjoy in what follows.

I’m excited about this venture; a chance to start posting more fiction (and thus an incentive to write more) and longer-form essays. That ‘regular basis’ may be a little flexible to start off with, but I intend to lock it down before too long.

And, as a launching pad for the project, I’m publishing a bit of fan-fiction (well, sort of) that I’ve had lying around: The Last Game. Check it out and enjoy!
