I am shamefully behind hand on this (the release happened right in the middle of my move), but I am pleased to announce that Fantastic Schools vol. 8, featuring a story by your servant, is now live and available for purchase:

Some of you may remember Fantastic Schools vol. 2 from back in 2021, featuring my story Halloween Dance set in the Van Helsing Academy for Troubled Youth. Well, this one’s story, In Professor Shaard’s Class is a sequel of sorts, picking up with the same protagonists in the same setting.

It is said that the Van Helsing Academy can never be finished, and therefore the already enormous mansion is constantly being added to. Moreover, it is designed with a purposefully confusing layout to ensure that anything that finds its way in to the school can’t easily find its way out into the world. The result is that it is very easy to get lost in. So, when Sean and Euryda end up running late for class, their efforts to find their way only lead them further and further into the unexplored regions of the mansion. There they stumble upon a classroom run by the aged, kindly Professor Shaard, who invites them to sit in on his lesson….

I’ll leave you to discover the rest. Suffice to say, all is rarely as it seems in the Van Helsing Academy.
