From Fathom Events, I discovered that tonight they’re showing Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula (which may be the most ludicrous adaptational title expansion on record). I find that they begin their summary this way:
Based on Bram Stoker’s classic and dark love story about the vampire who travels from Eastern Europe to England in search of human love.
To which I respond: “That’s not Bram Stoker’s story at all. His story was of the vampire who travels from Eastern Europe to England in search of human lunch.”
Great

Who the Sam Hill turned the synopsis of *Dracula* into THAT?! This isn’t *Twilight,* for Pete’s sake! It’s the real deal.
“Human lunch” is right. Not “human love.” Unless you mean he loves the idea of the British tasting better than the Transylvanians…

To be entirely fair, from what I understand that’s a not-inaccurate summary of Coppola’s version. It went with the ‘Mina is Dracula’s reincarnated wife’ angle.
